Raisa Pay · People Operations · Learning · Applied AI

People first.
Systems that work.

I bring structure to the people side of work. Seven years in people operations, recruiting, and learning & development. Today I help small teams put thoughtful HR processes in place and use AI with eyes open.

Two engagements. Fractional HR support for the people processes that need an owner, or a focused HR AI consulting project. Both end with materials you can run on your own.

Experience

A career built
around people.

Seven years in people operations, recruiting, and learning & development. The throughline has been making work easier to navigate, for employees, for managers, and for the people function itself.

I have worked inside growing teams where the people function wore every hat, and inside larger organizations where the same problem showed up at a different scale. Both taught me that the answer is rarely a new system. It is usually writing down what already happens, naming an owner, and giving the team something they can actually use.

Rebuilt global onboarding and supported learning programs for more than 600 employees, helping turn information into a clearer employee experience across the company. Worked with managers across regions to design materials they would actually use, not just approve.

Technology organizations, varied scope

Earlier experience in people operations and recruiting across technology organizations (including Google, Anaplan, and Securly) informs how I approach HR processes, hiring workflows, and the systems people use every day. Different industries, the same operating questions: who owns this, what does good look like, what does the manager actually need.

What this means for the work I do now

  • I have shipped people programs at scale, not just designed them on paper
  • I have worked inside growing teams where the people function wore every hat
  • I understand how an HR process fails when it is not part of a team's daily workflow
  • I have used AI inside real HR work, with eyes open, and watched what it gets wrong

Approaches I bring

  • Program design and rebuild, covering onboarding, learning, and manager enablement
  • Documentation that people actually use, not just files on a shared drive
  • AI-assisted drafting with explicit human-review rules and a manual fallback
  • Working in tools the team already has, not requiring new subscriptions
  • Hiring workflows with structured scorecards and review checklists
  • Process work that names an owner and a due date for every step

Contexts I have worked in

  • Education technology
  • Business intelligence
  • Cybersecurity
  • Consumer software
  • Mission-driven organizations
  • Global, multi-region teams
  • High-growth and post-acquisition environments
  • Small teams (under 50)
  • Larger teams (200 to 1,000+)

Good work starts
with a conversation.

For opportunities, fractional HR support, or an HR AI project. Twenty minutes about one real process is enough to know whether it makes sense.
